MEDIACURRENT 2016 - 2020
Atlanta, GA
Project Manager
Managed nine clients with monthly revenue of $175,000. Worked across projects for clients in Government, B2B, Non-Profit, and University sectors both nationally and internationally. Worked with the accessibility and training teams to develop an all-day accessibility training program.
Featured projects:
Mass.gov
The Mediacurrent team supported the Mass.gov team in delivering web services across the Commonwealth. Ross
managed the project to implement Real ID for constituents to utilize a decision tree to help residents understand if and when they needed to apply for one. This was critical, because the Motor Vehicle Department was concerned that they would be over-whelmed by requests if this tool was not put in place. The MVP was delivered and launched in six weeks.
During this engagement, Ross managed resources (roughly 20 individuals) who supported various divisions within Mass.gov. He reported weekly on resources and budget. And worked as the PM for several initiatives. The result of these efforts was having Mediacurrent added to a Massachutsetts statewide contract allowing all government entities in the commonwealth to contract with them.
Verifone
Managed the launch of the new Verifone site on D8 featuring multi-language, multi-site comprising roughly 30 global country/regions. An agency created the design and handed those off to Mediacurrent to implement.
On this project Ross worked with internal and external team members from Singapore, Manila, San Francisco, Chicago, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
The project successfully launched in the US. The next phase was to convert the approximately 30 global country/region sites from their former diverse platforms to Drupal. Hosting was also transferred and centralized.
The third and on-going step was post-launch support and optimization. To inform the most critical work, the team developed an executive level dashboard focused on four core business areas of the website. As project manager, Ross recommended items for the upcoming sprint based on the results in the dashboard in order to continually be able to improve and optimize in the areas of greatest need.
Vanderbilt University
The University had over 200 websites on Drupal 7 and called on Mediacurrent to migrate them to Drupal 8.
This task was accomplished inside of three months and delivered within budget.
Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA)
CCOSA had a business crisis when their web site management company, which also hosted their site, announced unexpectedly that they were going out of business.
The site was a non-Drupal, custom built PHP site. The organization did not have its own IT group. The immediate goal was to move the site to a new hosting environment and to update forms to reflect new year's membership dues. Ross managed four team members and the site was updated and moved to a new hosting platform.
Curtiss-Wright
Ross was the project manager for the client, which was on a support agreement, but had the need to implement an SSO solution for the company intranet. Ross oversaw the change order, and collected the business requirements, which had many nuances given the company was a $2B global organization with a wide range of situations related to employee access to the intranet.
Smile Train
Ross requested to be the project manager when this account was added due to their mission. The organization was on Drupal 7 and aware that they would need to make a move in the reasonably near future to Drupal 8. Working with the internal Accessibility team, Ross suggested using this client to created an internal training on how to conduct an accessibility audit. The client would be billed no more than 1 hour per week and in return they would receive a full audit that could either be used immediately or to inform discovery for the new D8 site, while Mediacurrent was able to record sessions and have documentation directly related to the recordings for internal training.
Additional clients:
Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction, Financial Services: Information Sharing and Analysis Center, Georgia Public Broadcasting, IDI Logistics, Mercy College, Principal Dental Choice, Truth Initiative, and University of Georgia.

"I had the pleasure of working on several projects with Ross. What stuck with me is Ross' ability to manage projects and clients expectations with a professional yet human touch. This isn't a given in project management professionals, but it makes all the difference. Knowing that Ross would both command the attention of a room confidently and speak to the specific needs of individuals allowed me to focus on the technical aspects of a project."

OLYMPUS CORPORATION OF THE AMERICAS 2010 — 2015
Medical Systems Group, Corporate & Medical Communications
Center Valley, PA
Manager, eMarketing Strategy & Analytics
Ross was hired into a newly created position. He defined the vision, goals, strategies, and tactics for online marketing. He identified and implemented solutions to work across the Medical Device business and worked with product teams from nine different medical specialties in addition to repair, service, and cleaning teams to help them better market their products and services online.
His first major project was managing the vendor selection process for a new website. He made the case for the Drupal web content management system as the central hub for the online marketing strategy. He did this by gaining approval from IT, internal design group, the marketing services team, and senior management (Drupal has since been adopted by the consumer business as well).
Ross' project management resulted in the website being built on time and within budget, saving an estimated $0.5 — $1.5M, compared to other options, in the first two years. The site also mitigated risk by having a workflow that required the inclusion of Regulatory's tracking code. In this way every page could be directly connected to its approval in the event the FDA investigated. Post-launch, he created an approach that allowed Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Latin America to leverage US content for their own sites.
Another significant impact of the new site was an increase of website marketing leads by 266%. The inside sales team handled these leads and sold $7 million dollars of product that previously fell through the cracks.
He developed multi-channel online campaigns to drive traffic and conversions. To expand marketing opportunities, Ross implemented multiple paid search (AdWords) campaigns driving leads to inside sales and achieving as high as a 6% Click-Through-Rate, compared to 2% AdWords average. He also developed a new content approval and documentation process, in conjunction with legal, regulatory and compliance that allowed marketing to utilize LinkedIn and YouTube in communication tactics.
Analytics was other major component of the role. Ross created a framework and defined KPI’s for marketing tactics. He then utilized a data-driven methodology to inform future marketing decisions.
Ross worked with marketing teams showing them the analytics and market research which allowed insight to users and user activities to help these subject matter experts better understand the content their users were seeking.

The Talley Management Group 2008-2009
Mt. Royal, NJ
Account Executive/Associate Executive Director
Ross was hired by The Talley Management Group (TMG) to run the newly created Healthcare Communication and Marketing Association (HCMA), which was the result of the merger between the Healthcare Marketing & Communication Council, the Medical Marketing Association, and the MidWest Healthcare Marketing Association.
He first had to integrate the operations of the new organization into the approach TMG took to managing associations. This included the migration of each organization's data into TMG's association management solution.
Ross was responsible to work with the board in establishing a new strategy, budget, and branding. He had two direct reports and worked with the events group within TMG for additional support.
In the first six months of operation, the organization held the largest industry advertising awards (over 900 entries), held a three day Annual Conference, conducted two training programs, produced a print membership directory (with advertising sales exceeding expectations), and distributed three 16 page newsletters.
Ross was also responsible for media relations and corporate partnerships. After moving the data once, the organization selected a different association management solution, and Ross managed the migration and the integration of a Learning Management System.

THE HEALTHCARE MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL (HMC Council) 2000 — 2009
Bethlehem, PA
Program, Communications, and Membership Manager
Ross served in several positions with increasing responsibility for the non-profit association that served pharmaceutical marketers through programs, training, executive education, and networking. The HMC Council (a 501(c)(6) not for profit corporation) was affiliated with the HMC Education Foundation (a 501(c)(3).
In November of 2006, HMC Council assumed management responsibility for the Medical Marketing Association (a 501(c)(6) based out of San Francisco, CA). As a result, Ross served as Membership Manager for both organizations.
Membership Manager (2006 - 2007)
Ross revived a three-year decline in membership by increasing it by 24.7%. The increase was driven by Ross' strategy to revamp the brand and improve member benefits, including partnerships with industry companies to provide discounts on subscriptions, events, and services related to their work and/or professional development. He was also responsible for the annual membership directory and improved sales revenue while decreasing production expenses.
Communications Manager (2003 - 2006)
As the organization's first Communications Manager, he was responsible for corporate communications, media relations, the organization's newsletter, program marketing and the website.
Ross led the re-brand of the organization and re-launched the newsletter by updating the layout, design, and format. By changing the vendor, production process, content, and distribution cycle he converted an annual net loss into revenue. Over five years this represented a swing of 6% of overall operating budget from a loss to a gain.
Program Manager (2000 - 2003)
In this role, Ross managed select seminars, training programs, executive education, fund-raising events, and all of membership (increased membership by 7.6% during this period).
His first task was to build a database using MS Access to serve as the association management solution to improve staff efficiency, and added new capabilities, including the ability to target key clientele based on past attendance, location, or role.
In 2001, he worked with Board, Executive Director, Waldorf-Astoria staff, and agencies in NYC to plan the annual Holiday Ball fundraiser in December following the events of 9/11. He utilized crisis management skills to diffuse concerns related to the perception of having a 'party' in New York City following 9/11. The city agencies and facility encouraged the event to be held due to the critical nature of tourism and hospitality to the city and as a result the event was re-focused on relief efforts and supporting local charities, including the New York Times 9/11 Fund and the New York City United Way to provide toys for children for the holidays.

NAZARETH AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT 1998 - 2000
Nazareth, PA
Director of Administrative Services
Hired into a newly created position responsible for district-wide transportation, athletics, and facility scheduling with an annual budget of $2.3 million.
Ross implemented transportation software to increase efficiency, the ability to test routes without having buses run them, which both saved money on fuel, and revised routes to maximize state reimbursement.
He built databases to manage the scheduling of all athletic events and scheduling of facilities by non-school groups.
Wrote a coach's manual outlining all the policies, procedures and expectations, which was needed as more coaches being hired were not teachers within the school district and had a need to understand in their role.
Revised the Facility Use Policy and procedure as previously each building principle handled this request differently.

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 1995 - 1998
Legislative Assistant
Served two Pennsylvania State Representatives Robert E. Nyce and Craig A. Dally in their district office as a Legislative Assistant.
Three primary responsibilities were constituent services, policy research, and public speaking/appearances.
Ross had to handle in person and phone requests from constituents who had problems, often with some level of government, but not always with state government. He liaisoned with other official's offices in the event it was not a state related issue and when it was, he worked with individuals in Harrisburg to help the constituent solve their problem.
Policy research was conducted related to Committees and Sub-Committees on which the Representative served. A part of this research was understanding possible implications if the policy were to be enacted.
Ross would attend events and ceremonies when the Representative had a conflict and speak and present citations on his behalf.

Policy research was conducted related to Committees and Sub-Committees on which the Representative served. A part of this research was understanding possible implications if the policy were to be enacted.
Ross would attend events and ceremonies when the Representative had a conflict and speak and present citations on his behalf.
